Outdoor sowing: After all danger of frost has passed, nick the seed coat with a file and sow ½ inch deep in prepared beds. Keep soil consistently moist as Love in a Puff is a heavy drinker. Germination will occur in 7-20 days.

How to Care for Love in a Puff

Once established, Love in a Puff requires little care. Even deadheading isn’t a necessity as the seedpods have aesthetic qualities and are part of the plants’ charm. They are prolific reseeders though, so if you wish to prevent the spread of seeds, you can certainly deadhead once flowers fade.
